  5. Dave June 12, 2013 at 3:59 pm #

    Hey Becker

I have one question that is not related to this topic but I hope you can answer it anyway…

I have been working on a site for 3 months now and it has started to make money, the CPA comissions are 300$+
The sites makes around 4-5K a month.

I suppose it is worth around 100K but I have no idea how and where to sell it?

I know about flippa but that just does not seem like a best idea…. any advice would be appreciated. How do you go about to
sell a site that is worth 50K+? You mentioned once in a video that it’s very easy…

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 4:14 pm #

And SEO site like that might be worth around 30-50k.

Flippa would be the best place to do this, I havnt sold a site worth more than 30k in about 2 years so I might not be the best source.

My best advice is check out some of the higher selling sites and copy HOW they are selling them. You need to create a pretty decent pitch to get someone to buy.

SEO sites are a bit lower priced now because they are not viewed as long term. Its essentially a gamble for the investor :/

      • Dave June 12, 2013 at 5:09 pm #

You mean that I should check how pepople are selling these kind of sites on flippa and copy them right? or maybe somwhere else?

        So 30-50 K.. that’s it? What a bummer… I thought that a sites worth was = 2 years income

        • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:10 pm #

Haha well the question is would you pay 100k for your site? Probably not because you know the chance of it getting tanked in the next 2 years is pretty heavy

If you want to sell a business make it have long term value, value besides its SEO ranking

    • Boris C. June 13, 2013 at 12:37 pm #

Any tips Dave how did you get it to earn that soon? Did you use high PR links?

      • Dave June 13, 2013 at 5:06 pm #

I basically found a market that pays 300$ per lead…. an we have around 4 leads a week. The site is on #2 spot and it took only 2 months to rank it from scratch…

And ranking it was not that hard, high PR links…..that’s it…. 60% high PR blog comments with low obl, 10% high PR forum posts, 20% other links.. 10% relevant tier 1 sites on high PR domains.

    • Rosh June 13, 2013 at 6:56 pm #

Watch Archer Online, (little bump there), What a great technique my man. When is the first “Becker Tailgate Party” ? I want to sell T-shirts. LOL
Thanks for being you… God bless….

  7. Adrian June 12, 2013 at 4:03 pm #

Who da man? You da man!

One little question, I see with your silo you actually send links to all the pages but I was under the impression you were only meant to send the links to the top of the silo.

So the silo is just to trap the juice in and we still link to all the pages?

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 4:47 pm #

All the pages links to eachother, and theres no reason not to give your inner pages a boost :)

      Glad I could help adrian

      • Boris C. June 13, 2013 at 12:41 pm #

Alex, is there still need to link pages together from top to bottom so it traps PR if your website’s template already does linking? I mean on every webpage there is already navigation menu above that already does linking so for example why link twice to “Home” page?

        • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:55 pm #

Yes, ignore the menu and just do it :P

  8. George June 12, 2013 at 4:09 pm #

Hi there, Can you please tell us the page rank of the site you put the baxklink? So if I understood good the relevance of that site it is not so important?.

  9. Mark June 12, 2013 at 4:39 pm #

Easy as 1,2,3 as always Alex excellent case study. I wanted to say thanks for these videos it finally stopped me from over thinking things use this exact method I ranked a site in the gaming niche for 4 keywords totaling 54k exact match global searches in the top 5 of Google US

Penguin 2.0 has made it even easier rock and roll

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 4:47 pm #

Nice! Glad I could help Mark!

      • Mark June 12, 2013 at 7:43 pm #

Seriously thanks man you have got me back into SEO. I can’t believe how simple it is now! Looking forward to the next case study now we are over the 50 likes.

        • Becker June 12, 2013 at 8:46 pm #

          Glad I could help!

  10. Howard June 12, 2013 at 4:45 pm #

Hey Alex, thanks for the video! Great info. Do you happen to have a resource page that lists the tools you use? I had to rewind several times to figure out that you were using Serpfox to track kw ranking.

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 4:46 pm #

manual high PR links and site buys were all I did for this site. No tools used!

      • Leo June 12, 2013 at 9:44 pm #

        Hey Alex

Very cool you managed this without any anchor text penalty issues? don’t you need to pad out the backlink profile to ensure the high PR links seem a bit more natural?

        • Becker June 12, 2013 at 9:57 pm #

Naw this site only has like 4 sites linking to it. Hard to tigger a penalty with that

  11. Aldin June 12, 2013 at 4:53 pm #

sweet…as always… did you just put that 1 PR link?

    thanx for this case study

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:09 pm #

No, I had a bout 3 I think and then 2 link buys

  12. Andy June 12, 2013 at 4:56 pm #

Alex I am seeing some other seos doing this type of thing without ever using content or any high PR backlinks.

For very competitive keywords relating to the KW seos .

    How is that possible?

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:09 pm #

Content is not king, thats really all :)

  13. MarcoCarlo Matorras June 12, 2013 at 5:05 pm #

  16. Dave Keys June 12, 2013 at 5:23 pm #

Now, 30 people are going to run out and try to rank HULU affiliate sites! Seriously good case study. Most of us, myself included, are generally too lazy to just go out on their own and create the silos but it is absolutely necessary.

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:08 pm #

Hahaha hence why I have not put to much time into the site :)

  17. Sam June 12, 2013 at 6:16 pm #

Wow Becker! This is great stuff. I have never seen SEO done like this before. Really amazing. Thanks,Sam

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:08 pm #

      Thanks buddy!

  18. Stephen June 12, 2013 at 6:25 pm #

Seriously, only 5 of us have managed to hit the LIKE button so far! Come on folks hitting that little button is not that hard and is such a small request for the great content Alex is giving away for FREE. Alex, perhaps if you placed a nice looking woman in a bikini above the Like button with the caption “if you like this picture click the LIKE button below.” Then maybe another picture for the ladies to cover all your bases. :-)

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:12 pm #

haha im seeing about 40 people so far :P

  19. Stephen June 12, 2013 at 6:26 pm #

I take back my only 5 people have clicked this link so far comment. I apparently needed to refresh my screen. Looking forward to the next case study Alex.

  20. Nevil June 12, 2013 at 6:29 pm #

    Great casestudy!

I have a question regarding the buying of high PR sites. Should it already have content on it when I buy it? And if so, should I continue just using the content that was on it, or can I put on my own content from scratch and still keep the high PR? I am not quite sure how content changes influence the PR of a site/page.

On Digital Point I can find a lot of PR4 and higher domains for around 25 dollar, is that what I am looking for?

    Any idea Becker/someone?

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:12 pm #

Check out the 4000 words I wrote on it in the link below :P

      • Michael June 12, 2013 at 8:44 pm #

Thanks very much, Alex, great case study, as usual. But which 4000-word-link are you referring to?

        • Becker June 12, 2013 at 8:46 pm #

          Im not sure :/

          • Michael June 12, 2013 at 8:51 pm #

What I meant to say is: Which “link below”?

          • Becker June 12, 2013 at 9:20 pm #

            The blog network one!

          • Michael June 13, 2013 at 8:39 am #

Got it, thanks, Becker. Another question: If I buy a high PR page in a foreign language, will Google notice / penalize? For example, would an English high PR page link to a German page be penalized?

          • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:52 pm #

No lol, don’t be so paranoid!

  21. Stephanie Kayle June 12, 2013 at 7:06 pm #

Fantastic case study Becker. Really appreciate the great info you are giving away on Source Wave. Now would you said that adding SEO rich articles to the site would boost the rankings considering the site is just a skeleton now?

Also, I read on your blog where you spoke about anchor text and varying them in a 3:3:3 ratio. Where is you did 9 links, 3 would be the keyword you want to rank for, 3 would be closely related and 3 would be generic. Something of that sort..

My question is, if you do a sitewide link as in case study above, wont you have tons of link from one site with the same anchor text? Will it affect the ranking long term based on your experience. What I am asking if we will need to create more sidewide links with other anchor text to dilute so we don’t over optimize for a specific keyword.

    Thanks Becker

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:13 pm #

Eh depends, I have never seen adding articles to increase.

Google realizes their are site wide links, it would be insane if they penalized or viewed them the same way as normal links :) so no to your question!

  22. L June 12, 2013 at 7:08 pm #

Cool video. However, I’ve also read your post on how to build a PR network, but getting quality high PR domains is pretty tough… I came across lots of domains with low quality backlinks. So it seems that finding quality PR domains is the most toughest part of all this :)

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 7:37 pm #

      Buying links also works great!

      • Joel June 13, 2013 at 11:28 pm #

Can you say a bit more about buying links? What do you do?

  23. george June 12, 2013 at 8:50 pm #

Becker, thanks this really is awesome,
thanks for sharing this for FREE!!!

One question though, do you use seNuke
as an alternative to posting a link on a PR5 site?

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 9:06 pm #

Not really, impossible to get the same juice

  24. Encontralo Gratis June 12, 2013 at 9:11 pm #

I added my like to the mix. You know I got your back in all you do. ‘Til the world blows up man!

  25. Nate June 12, 2013 at 9:14 pm #

Awesome video Alex! Have been following you for a while now and I love the value you provide, it’s crazy. Thanks for helping me get my head around the whole silo thing as well. It’s nice to finally have someone cut through the B.S. and make it comprehensible.

    • Becker June 12, 2013 at 9:21 pm #

      Glad I could help nate!

  26. Buddy June 12, 2013 at 9:44 pm #

      Glad I could help Jesse

  28. SeoFun June 12, 2013 at 10:55 pm #

hi becker good site, i have started applying some of these recent principles but not been to successful so far.

I notice you have the following backlinks.

    Referring Domains: 29
5,142 in the last 5 years.
    External Backlinks 406
40,018 in the last 5 years.

Is this why you are ranking number one? as the domain is quite old and has previous back links?

  29. Me Myselfandi June 13, 2013 at 12:27 am #

Okay Becker, fess up. Your real name is Alex Brin, your brother is Sergey, and you work for the NSA.

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 1:08 am #

  30. Alan June 13, 2013 at 12:55 am #

Hey Becker! After 6 years on SEO, you made me loose my breath again and to engage in some exciting ideas, thanks A LOT! I don’t remember the last SEO guy I liked to read so much before you.

One fast question: I’m on brazilian portuguese language, so I don’t usually find high-PR expired domains to buy. Do you think I’ll lose PR or not get good results buying a PR5 with old English content and to put brazilian content on it? I’d try some domains without english words or brand ones. Also, dropped domains (but 1-2 days ago) are too bad to start with (they are way cheaper!)?

Thanks again and keep going with this amazing work!

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 1:09 am #

Glad I could help you out Alan,

Naw, its the backlinks that matter just theme it to the brazilian site and be sure to say queso a lot!

(just kidding on the last part)

      • Alan June 13, 2013 at 1:18 am #

Thankya! I’ll give it a try for sure. :D

  31. Rus June 13, 2013 at 1:40 am #

About to devote a lot of time with your info, Becker. It just makes sense.
When you say you buy links, do you have anything on your site that explains this, gives a walk thru?

Thanks for the video(s), I clicked the like!

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:12 am #

Yep check the blog network post below this video

  32. Gerad June 13, 2013 at 2:20 am #

The title on the page is already in an H1 tag. Do you really need to put another H1 tag with the same text as the title H1??

  33. Adam Dukes June 13, 2013 at 3:46 am #

    Awesome video!

Side note: I was at a business expo this afternoon put on by the Las Vegas Chamber. I saw another local online marketer I know and he asked for SEO help. I told him, “Two words: Source Wave” So, I went to the expo to generate leads and I ended up getting you a lead, and your in Texas.

    Well played, sir.

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 3:55 am #

Hehe welcome to the ultimate form of marketing : helping lots of people with nothing asked in return :)

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:48 pm #

  35. Jermaine June 13, 2013 at 5:12 am #

Great information :) , could you do a case study on how you would rank a amazon e commerce site with multiple products. I would love to see your methods for that. Thanks

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:49 pm #

Eh I have never done that before jermaine, but it would be exactly the same as this…literally the exact same

  36. Den June 13, 2013 at 6:48 am #

How much have you earned so far through Hulu affiliate with sites like this? If you don’t mind sharing… hehe.

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:50 pm #

Nothing, the site is literally just a example site

  37. Free $10 Health Coupon June 13, 2013 at 8:11 am #

Hi Becker … if you run for president, I’ll campaign for you! I’ve been “lurking” for awhile … you give such excellent value for the high price of ‘free’. Where were you when I was starting out and cursing big G for all their changes? You brought my faith back to SEO (which, as you show, should not be hard at all … Thank you so much … Becker, You’re D’ MAn! … Macky

Damn you Becker and your magical mystical ways!

Always distracting me with game changing information for free.

    Curse you!

Now I HAVE to go rank something – just to get my kicks off.

    Thanks for another awesome episode!

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:52 pm #

      Glad I could help Mike!

  40. Luca June 13, 2013 at 8:37 am #

This is freaking awesome, the simplicity for ranking it just mind-blowing. In life everything is so simple but the journey till you get there takes a lot of hard work.

    Thanks for the amazing value.

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:52 pm #

Thanks for reading my amazing value :)

  41. Ted June 13, 2013 at 9:26 am #

    Hey Becker,
Thanks again for the great content! You’re rockin’ it, as always.
Quick question for you. Are pages and posts treated the same in Google? I notice you always say line one PAGE to the next one to make a silo. Can you do the same thing with posts, or do you really have to make pages?
Sorry, don’t want to over complicate this stuff.
Really like your style, thanks again.

  42. Alex June 13, 2013 at 11:38 am #

The problem here is that you’re using global searches and teaching the newbies that you should be looking at global searches.

The numbers are completely different if you look at local searches and there’s no way that you’ll be ranking in canada, UK, New Zeeland, Australia etc so you can never actually get those 40k global searches to your site each month.

(and yes, I know only about 40% show up anyway if you’re #1

So for every newbie out there..

Go for LOCAL SEARCHES and not GLOBAL like Becker is.

But other than that, solid stuff.

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:47 pm #

People all around the world can sign up for hulu, and yes i am showing up first in canada and all the other countries that speak english

And yes you get 40% from that search, but when you rank first you get overwhelmed from all the long tail BROAD searches as well

      So ummm

  43. Jermaine June 13, 2013 at 12:45 pm #

Thanks for the great information…. Can you do a case study on how to rank a amazon e commerce type site with multiple products. Doesn’t have to be amazon but a e commerce site. I would like to see how you would rank it. Thanks

  44. Filippo June 13, 2013 at 2:21 pm #

Hi Alex, thanks for the useful video. I have a quick question, if you don’t mind:your domains bleachepisodeguide.Net dropped from the serp a few days ago, but now it’s in the first page again. Why did it drop and how did you make it rank again? Thanks :)

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:54 pm #

      Explained in infinitum :P

      • rushikesh June 14, 2013 at 11:48 am #

in which video or post you have mentioned about the steps of ranking back in infinitum, sorry i am yet to go through all tutorials in infinitum

  45. Filippo June 13, 2013 at 2:23 pm #

Ted, posts and pages and the same. The only difference is that posts appear in the home page of a blog, while pages usually appear in the navigation menu. You can use both, no problem. Hope Alex will be agree with me ;)

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 2:53 pm #

Ha yes I agree with you 1000 times, ive been asked this question and answered it so many time it hurts

haha thanks that made me giggle

  47. maxime sincerny June 13, 2013 at 5:41 pm #

You say you only added ~4links and I saw them. But, your website as over 15K links is the fact that your website is old a big factor for your ranking? Should we get old website with a lot of links for money site even if you don’t have the best name for branding?

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 5:52 pm #

err just really depends on the scenario Maxime

  48. KevinS. June 13, 2013 at 7:10 pm #

Just curious, what is the rank tracker (with the graphs) you are using?
Keep it going and greetings from the Netherlands!

I’m starting to go through the video. Just so I know, so I have the right mindset on this, was this done pre-Penguin 2.0 or post-Penguin 2.0?

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 9:20 pm #

Post, it was done like a week ago :P

  52. jason June 13, 2013 at 9:20 pm #

    Im obnoxious

  53. Michael June 13, 2013 at 9:24 pm #

Good info. I’m curious. One of the Penguin updates targets specifically, what are deemed to be “paid anchor text backlinks,” devaluing the equity from those links and punishing the site propagating the links.
So here are my questions: Do you think your high PR site will suffer at some point? Do you think your techniques will be viable in the future, as long term SEO options?

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 9:27 pm #

Yes I do, but that day is not today!

  54. Rich June 13, 2013 at 10:29 pm #

Hi alex I majestic seo’d the domain and if has over 14K backlinks pointing to it over the last 5 years and is in the majestic million. It is also older than 90days has old links pointing to it. I’m guessing you either had this site forever or you bought it? (watchthingsonline dot com)

Just sayin’ Its not really a great way to prove you only need a few PR links to rank this site and KWs.

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 10:39 pm #

Those are ancient links I did not build, did not even see those.

Look at the fresh index. Thats what I did

      • dan June 14, 2013 at 7:37 am #

fresh are 392, which is also a lot – so what ranked it the PR5 site or the 400 + 40K BL?

        • Becker June 14, 2013 at 2:01 pm #

          geez louise

  55. bryan June 13, 2013 at 11:10 pm #

hey alex quick question. can hulu (or cj) terminate my affiliate account if they find out i am using movie names or tv show names in my domain name (e.g. or the reason i ask is because i hear that amazon does terminate affiliate accounts where the affiliate was caught using trademark names in their domains for products they were promoting ( or

    • Boris C. June 16, 2013 at 3:15 am #

Can you cite the source where you heard that about Amazon? And about hulu, you should ask them about using trademarks in domain names.

  56. wade June 13, 2013 at 11:11 pm #

Question… How do you actually build the silo in word press?

  57. Toly June 13, 2013 at 11:25 pm #

This is a non-competitive keywords, so I guess the biggest ranking factor was your keyword research.
Can you show similar examples with high competitive keywords? May be you can create a guide about keyword research for high traffic & low competition like the ones in this case study?

    • Becker June 13, 2013 at 11:39 pm #

      Google “seo outsourcing”

      • Toly June 14, 2013 at 4:44 pm #

Still, not that competitive. How about you rank with the same methods for “SEO company” ?

        • Becker June 14, 2013 at 5:41 pm #

Im sorry I do not impress you Toly :P , Im here to help people rank quickly and easily, not win a competitive pissing SEO contest :D , youll find plenty of people on the warrior forum up to your challenge though!

          • Toly June 14, 2013 at 7:55 pm #

No worries, just another quick question. What’s your opinion on blogroll links after recent updates?

  58. Rich June 14, 2013 at 12:23 am #

Swear to god English is my first language.

I have tried and tested most of your techniques and ideas and all have been very positive. For instance I ranked an 18K exact match keyword on the first page of google with basically one line of content :D

    • Becker June 14, 2013 at 2:35 am #

      Nice rich!

  59. Denis June 14, 2013 at 1:07 am #

Thanks for all you do. Great stuff.

    Quick question…
I was doing mini linking loops in my sites. Home to Page 1- Page 1 back to Home. Home to Page 2-Page 2 back to Home, etc.

Am I losing my juice by doing that? And should I switch to how you’re telling us?

    • Becker June 14, 2013 at 2:35 am #

that can work too, main thing to take away is understanding how the juice flows through your site

  60. John June 14, 2013 at 3:48 am #

Great stuff, glad to be part of this community. Please keep it coming!!!

  61. Hannah June 14, 2013 at 4:53 am #

Becker I love ya but that’s not really what a silo is. :)

This would be a silo (in agency terms at least…)

    /blog is the silo

^^these are pages in the blog silo.

    • Hannah June 14, 2013 at 4:54 am #

woops forgot the slash. Second one should be /blog/this-is-another-blog

    • Becker June 14, 2013 at 5:07 am #

then call it beckers silo. Silly make believe definition war that has no point over :P

  62. dan June 14, 2013 at 7:34 am #

This site you showed – majestic shows it has over 40,000 back links

So what made it rank? the 40K back links or that one PR5 (or a few of them…) ?

Are these 40K back links from scrape box and stuff like that?

how can you build 40K good BL in a short period of time?.

  63. Internet Marketing June 14, 2013 at 12:16 pm #

    Great Post!

We have more than three cases where we managed to rank websites without backlinking just by following Alex’s notes.

This post shows you exactly the ultimate power of on-page optimization!

For users who are looking for a quick summary:

    1. Optimize your tags on all pages.
    2. Properly inner link your website through loops and footer maps.
    3. Out-link to few authority websites.
    3. Add meaningful engaging content.
    4. Shot it up with few backlinks from high relevant PR sites. (of course preferably if you own them).

As a professional marketing firm, we highly recommend users to join (Source Infinitum) where you can learn more case studies and gain amazing tips.

  64. troy June 14, 2013 at 2:49 pm #

    Hi Becker,
Great presentation, but I need clarification please…
Your video showed 3 stacked boxes, for lack of a better description and love the artwork;)
The top box represents the top of the Silo.
The middle box was an inner post/page with a link to the bottom/3rd box.
The bottom/3rd box then linked to the top of the Silo.
This creates a loop as you describe.

My question is about the link structure for box 4:
    1) I assume that when box 4 is added, that the link in box 3 will then be changed to point to Box 4, correct?
    2) Subsequently, the link from Box 4 will point to the top of the Silo?

What effect does changing these links as described have?

I hope this question is clear.

  65. troy June 14, 2013 at 2:50 pm #

I’ve heard of a Silo structure whereas all pages/posts simply point to the top of the Silo and not to each other.
I would appreciate your feedback whether or not that method is effective.

  66. Nate June 14, 2013 at 3:54 pm #

    Hi Becker,

Great content. As someone who finds SEO a long and frustrating process I’ve really enjoyed these videos.

    A few Q’s on silo’s.

    1. Does a blog plugin like Nrelate constitute a silo?
    2. Are post’s listed in the sidebar?
    3. If so, is it dangerous to add a silo link or have multiple links from 1 page to another?

Last Q. Do you plan on opening more SEO autopilot slots? I note the services are currently closed.

  67. Dean June 14, 2013 at 6:21 pm #

Becker, after things went haywire with SEO on June 12 this week, are you seeing any patterns? I had a number of sites tank and I’m wondering if you think any of your strategies here still apply. I don’t mean that to sound bad as I love this site and I’ve read and watched everything on it. But something big and ugly happened and many folks can’t figure it out. Me included.

    • Becker June 14, 2013 at 8:46 pm #

Nothing really changed for me dean, just same old same old

    • Mark June 14, 2013 at 9:12 pm #

      Hey Dean,

Got to be honest I am seeing gains if anything. I have noticed a slight change in the anchor text percentage on what works but other than that nothing changed.

  68. Nick June 14, 2013 at 7:17 pm #

Great post as always Becker! I have the same questions as Troy does above. Hopefully you can touch on those. Thanks for everything you do!

  69. Shanita June 14, 2013 at 11:29 pm #

Lmao Becker you are too funny! Love your randomness and straight forward ways as always. Grreat Advice!!!! SImply amazing and I thought you needed a master degree in Seo ;)

I’m very new to the game. I’m hitting the ground running thanks to your fantastic tips and content. Thanks Becker.

  71. Richard McGirr June 15, 2013 at 10:19 pm #

    Hey Alex,

Great video, but I don’t see how you are actually monetizing the sight in your video. It looks like the page doesn’t have any affiliate offer whatsoever at the time you made the video. Do you add them after they rank?

  72. Barnett June 16, 2013 at 12:22 am #

Hey Becker, just curious. Are you sure no one died in that video you showed at first? That guy looked like his head came off..

    • Becker June 16, 2013 at 1:27 am #

      Facepalm, yes Im sure

    • Anton June 20, 2013 at 3:13 pm #

=) I knew these guyes were Russians from the very first moment )) Actually, this was a movie scene shooting, and the grenade was not armed. So both are alive and kicking (probably wet pants only =) )

  73. Boris C. June 16, 2013 at 6:38 am #

Hi Alex. There are expired domains that have 0 incoming links to them and yet they manage to have valid PR from 4 to 7. I don’t understand how something with 0 backlinks can have such a high PR. I also wonder what will happen to their PR after I purchase them. Will it become obsolete either instantly or gradually?

Another thing I wanted to ask you is about having high PR expired domains on same hosting account and linking them to 1 website on different hosting account. Is that safe or I better spread expired domains over different hosting accounts? For example, having 3 expired domains on 3 different hosting accounts and linking to 1 website on different hosting account would be better than having 3 expired domains on same hosting account and linking to 1 website?

  74. Red June 16, 2013 at 10:41 am #

Hi Alex, thank you for the “different” and very effective approach to SEO.

    though I do have a request…

can you show us a case study that shows how you can MONETIZE and convert the visitors to money?

ahm maybe, how you can monetize for ex.

    the “drugname side effects” website

How will you structure your words and your offer so the people would actually click the link to whatever your selling and
    buy. thank you.

  75. Daniel June 16, 2013 at 12:49 pm #

    Wicked Becker

Tried the siloh on watching a few tv shows and already on page #4 in 2days and not a emd site. will keep testing with other niches but this is so addictive.

    • Boris C. June 17, 2013 at 10:46 am #

Did you use your high PR private network?

  76. Goran June 16, 2013 at 10:58 pm #

Hey Becker, how you do that on the home page. When i go on the home page there is just text, when you greate new wordpress website you have the usual hello world post and its title is permalinked.

    For this website:
    ( )

  77. Jesse June 17, 2013 at 1:06 am #

Hey Becker it’s the noob again…. I wanted to let you know I just tried this siloing thing you mentioned before. In a few days a huge keyword I have been targeting for a while just finally ranked. It’s funny I didn’t even know what seo stood for a few months ago. Thanks!!!

    • Boris C. June 17, 2013 at 10:45 am #

Did you also point high PR links to your homepage?

  78. george June 17, 2013 at 3:55 pm #

    Becker quick question!

How many PR5 sites do you have to buy to link your money site to.
Do you just buy a PR5 domain set up the wordpress and add links to
your money site? is that it?

    Thanks for the great video!

    • george June 17, 2013 at 4:42 pm #

      here in sourcewave

      awesome stuff becker!!!!

  79. RJ June 17, 2013 at 5:58 pm #

The guys at backlinksXXX sell everything you provide here for free on your blog (about building a blog network etc.) for a hefty $100 LOL! You rock, they suck.

    • Becker June 17, 2013 at 7:32 pm #

Ha they are good guys though

  80. Guido Mueller June 19, 2013 at 5:38 am #

problem is that you put out all that great content but we have to kill one of your existing clients to get a spot in your Done For You membership.

    That’s a punishment.

I assume that the silo does NOT include pages in a real clients site like About, Contact, Disclaimer etc… which should be not indexed anyhow.

Do those inner pages need to be keyword relevant like in your sample or can it be only niche relevant?

Do the Youtube videos play a major role in those rankings, and do I need one at each page if YES?

  81. Gio June 19, 2013 at 8:33 am #

    Hi Alex,

I have watched the video 6 times but quite frankly I am confused. Basically you say. Link from your homepage to the next page, to the next page and back right?

But if I study your website you do things completely different….On you link the homepage to 3 pages. 2 of those pages link to nothing. One page links to an unknown page (invisible).

If I study your website you link different as well….

Please enlighten me since everyone else seems to understand it :)

  82. Joe June 19, 2013 at 5:47 pm #

Greetings Becker, I have an EMD site that I was able to get to ranked at #5 and is now slowly loosing ground. It’s not set up as you have explained in this video. Does it hurt for me to re-arrange my pages after they fact?

  83. Joe June 19, 2013 at 7:14 pm #

Thanks a GU- GILLION for all your info!!!! My head is spinning from all of the content you put out. I’ve been spinning in the F’ing vortex for way too long and haven’t made $hit. So YOU F”ING ROCK!!!!

If you monetized your site with HULU what would it look like? I found some keywords I want to try this on and have signed up with HULU but don’t know how to dress the site up so that I can make me some $7 per free sign up.

    Thanks AGAIN!!!

  84. Ian June 20, 2013 at 10:09 am #

    Hi Becker

Awesome video! I have been a bit overwhelmed for a few years now so going to try this for myself…

Any plans to make money from this website ? how much traffic is the site getting…. it would be intresting to see how you would add affiliate links to on this site… hey use my affiliate links if you want someone to record how many sales it gets! ha!!!

  85. Rob June 20, 2013 at 1:55 pm #

How heavy did the high PR site you bought weight in the ranking of the case study site?

What type of investment would I expect to put into that?

If you had not bought that site, how much less successfully would your case study site have ranked?

  86. John June 20, 2013 at 8:08 pm #

Hey Becker, Where do I find High PR websites for sale? And what PR is good enough to get you ranked for a 1k-10k search per month

    Awesome Vid!

  87. Danny June 21, 2013 at 5:27 pm #

Did you use the above site to get into the Hulu Plus affiliate program? I have a similar site with more quality content and traffic but it was rejected for admission. If you used another site, what’s the url?
    Thanks for the help!

  88. Leo June 21, 2013 at 5:45 pm #

Question for ya bro!! I have a site targeting a keyword in the financial arena (4400 exact match local search / $30.00+ cpc …… yeah $30.00!) I found it using your ‘dig down a couple levels’ method. The top competition sites have no exact matches in the title, url, description or domain name. I’ve set up a bare bones site with the proper elements (not the silo however) as you’ve shown numerous times here, purchased a couple of paid links on sites with a decent link profile and submitted a site map through Google webmaster tools.

It’s been ten days and the backlinks have not shown up on Google webmaster tools and the site is not ranking anywhere in the top 1000. Question: Do some niches (higher cpc) take longer than others to rank? Do you see anything that I’ve left out? Any suggestions?

  89. Wojciech June 22, 2013 at 5:13 am #

Guys, a bit info about HULU and Alex’s “miracle” conversion rate. Im running 3 TV show sites, all up in SERPs for top KW’s (Thank you Becker – you are a champ!) Just one site gets 8-10K UV/day, I deliver about 3-4k clicks to HULU every day and I get 2-6 sales per day. I tried many ways to convert and “force” people to sign up. Even my HULU and CJ manager think Im doing really good. Remember guys, KW is the “power” of this buisness, if people types ” watch XXX online” it not only means he wants to watch it, he also is concious that if hes typing that into browser he (or she) knows this is internet and it can be watched for free, 95% of visitors will just check some other sites if they see “sign up” option (I got stats to prove it) So be smart – people arent dumb and they know they can download/watch/listen things for free in internet (thats why its for) so those conversion rates are out of proportions….If I was making 5-10% conversion then…I would be freaking milionare by now sending to Alex best vodka money can buy ;)

    • David Sullivan June 25, 2013 at 9:06 pm #

I looked up the EPC of HULU on CJ and the 90 days EPC showed $8, and previous rants online showed a low of $4 on the 90 days EPC. If I understand correctly, EPC is average earnings for 100 clicks, which means hulu conversion rates are more like 0.5% to 1% on average.

Your stats of 3000-4000 clicks resulting in 2-6 sales is an average of 0.05% to 0.2%. Maybe you just have a lot of traffic from outside the united states, since HULU only supports US.

Totally new to SEO. I’m been research PR2,3 etc and found a forum that was saying, its not important. Didn’t make sense
to me that so many sites set up selling domains names with PR2,3,4 etc if it had no relevance. Can someone clarify its place

Just bought a PR5 domain with some juicy edu links at snapnames and quickly built a site with it and used SEOhost for the hosting. It has been 2 weeks now and it hasn’t been indexed by google. I rechecked by htacess and robots.txt and everything is fine.

    Hello Becker,

Keyword density (watch bleach online) is up to 20% … but it can rank well (#3) for the keyword…

I wonder how can you rank that page with the keyword? … Why Google didn’t see your page as keyword stuffing? Google Panda can not catch you?? … please let us know … what do you think about that?

    1page -> 2page -> 3page -> 4page

and 4page links back to 1page.

However, can 2page link to 1page, or say 4page link to 3/2/1page. Your thoughts?

me to! Actually only my homepage of my website is indexed. I have pinged my sitemap several times (every time I update the blog pages)and only one page got indexed. My keywords have open EMD’s and no one is optimizing there pages for the keywords i’m trying to rank for. So its not highly competitive at all.
Yet, I have a pr3 linking to the top of my silo’s. Just 3 links on the pr 3 homepage. Then I have had Senuke doing a campaign and its on its 7 day, still nothing. My site is in lala land and I stop searching after page 5 of google. Anyone have any ideas or can help?

    Hi Becker,

Thx for the simple side of internet success life!

In “Becker June 13, 2013 at 1:09 am”

its the backlinks that matter just theme it to the brazilian site. Can you explain “theme it”? Is that relevant higher pr site links? Any language site is fine?

Can I ask a 2nd question? in the video “First Page For A 40k, 20k,and 9k Search In 4 Days ” you finally did a link to pr 4 site you created with a couple of guitar videos on it, is that the secret sauce? Do we need to create our own pr site? Or any pr site is ok?

    Thx in advance.

Hey Becker… just wanted to let you know that I’m experiencing problems watching your videos on different locations (star bucks, my house, friends house) Digging the seo Gold… you’re brain is definitely switched on and you know your stuff, I’ve been on source wave everyday for hours just digesting the seo information. I’m looking forward to joining the forum and also getting coaching with you when I can. Thanks Becker

quick question on backlinks. I have a website in dutch. It is hard to find relevant backlink oportunities in dutch for my keywords. Will google recognise relevant backlinks when they come from websites in a different language?
