what other tools do you use/recommend?
thanks so much for the information.

    • Becker June 17, 2012 at 2:08 am #

      Just ultimate demon right now!

  2. Fontella June 18, 2012 at 1:43 am #

    Hey Becker,
I went to Twitter but I don’t see a list. The link just brings be back to this page.

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 1:58 am #

Hey! It will be up in a few moments, I am just preparing it still!

  3. Filippo June 18, 2012 at 1:46 am #

Becker thanks a lot for this helpful article.
I have a question: one of my blogs was hitten by penguin (1500 daily visits –> 250 daily visits).
The on page is “natural” and this blog is an EMD, so the % of exact anchor text SHOULD not be a problem (anyway I variated anchor texts).
I heavely used blog blueprint and I’m afraid that this is the reason for the penalization.
I deleted all of my links from that blog network but after one month there aren’t good news about ranking.

Do you think your recovery strategy could help in case of a blog wich was penalized because of a heavy use of blog network?
Do you have a similar case (EMD penalized) study?

    Thanks, Filippo. :)

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 1:59 am #

Yep I think it can. I was a heavy BB user as well and got these results!

  4. Susannah June 18, 2012 at 2:18 am #

Do you have a package in SourceLinks that can take care of this?

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 2:23 am #

      We will very very soon

      • carolyn June 18, 2012 at 2:37 am #

Wow – that would be great if you could offer that as a custom service.

        • Becker June 18, 2012 at 2:40 am #

We are actually launching a package that is identical to this and then launching a service that will actually drip links to your site every day of the month for a reocurring fee. Its gonna save big Source Links a lot of cash

          • Susannah June 18, 2012 at 4:07 am #

Got a time for that launch yet? It sounds like a great general ranking package.

          • Bruce Clancy June 18, 2012 at 4:56 pm #

When will this service be ready?

          • Becker June 18, 2012 at 5:47 pm #

            Hey Bruce,

            Aiming for this weekend!

  5. carolyn June 18, 2012 at 2:27 am #

Pretty interesting – when working in the 2nd tier – did you do the anchor text breakdown to the 2.0 the same as from 2.0 to money site? Or did that matter at all?

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 2:30 am #

yep same anchor text break down

  6. Susannah June 18, 2012 at 4:06 am #

So is it necessary to manually create a profile on each of the 2.0 blogs, wikis, bookmarking sites etc. before you can use Ultimate Demon?
Or does UD do all this stuff for you too?

    Cheers!

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 4:45 am #

UD does that all for you

      • Susannah June 18, 2012 at 5:01 am #

        Phewww!!! :)

  7. James June 18, 2012 at 5:03 am #

Can you use a program like Hide My Ass instead of the proxy service with ultimate demon.

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 5:40 am #

No not at all, you need about 10 proxies to plugged into any link building program for it to be safe

  8. robb June 18, 2012 at 7:49 am #

how does ultimate demon compare to extremeseotools?
    are proxies included?

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 12:56 pm #

Extreme tools is a VPS that host a ton of tools and Ultimate Demon is a tool in it self. I also uploaded my ultimate demon to my VPS so I can run it faster (essential). No, there is no tool online that will give you free private proxies

      Hope that helps!

  9. robb June 18, 2012 at 1:59 pm #

can you do a post on how you are using vps, proxies and seo hosting in your linkbuilding i.e show us the missile launcher!

  10. Jason June 18, 2012 at 2:53 pm #

Hey man – great post, relevant and straight to the point, just the way it should be delivered. I did have a question regarding source-links and all of this…

When you order a source links package you usually are able to give one url and like 5 keywords… How are we able to use the “law of google relativity” while only being able to give you 5 keywords? I hope I am making sense – so say I buy your “penguin revival package” (feel free to use that as the name lol) how are we going to know that 10% will be the KW we are trying to rank for, 30% LSI keywords and then 40% random. If we want like 10 different “random” keywords in the 40% category is there going to be a way to enter a bunch of different keywords? without having that KW constraint

last question and I thought of it as I was typing this… what are you using for your last 20%? 10+30+40=80% :)

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 5:46 pm #

Hey Jason, how have you been

Haha as you can see I never learned to do math! The last 20% would be keyword relevant keywords as well.

And I dont have an initial answer to your big question. However, when I launch the penguin revival stuff I will make sure to include all your concerns in the product and makes sure they are solved!

  11. James June 18, 2012 at 4:01 pm #

I wanted to know do we need to run private proxies or shared and does it matter if they need to be multiple cities.

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 5:46 pm #

I run private proxies because we need our own proxies at source links. Shared proxies work great for an individual though. No just as long as they are different proxies!

  12. James June 18, 2012 at 6:06 pm #

Thanks a lot for always responding Its great to have help and great service when you need it.

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 6:12 pm #

      =D tell your friends!

  13. James June 18, 2012 at 6:36 pm #

We use google for all are domain email adresses and catchall email would u recommend not using google. Or are we looking into it to much

  14. James June 18, 2012 at 6:37 pm #

    • Becker June 18, 2012 at 6:38 pm #

Thanks buddy! Means a lot to know you enjoy what we do

  15. Tom June 18, 2012 at 9:48 pm #

Hi, many thanks for sharing the lists for UD…

I have a question. What for tool you use for the 20k comments to the wiki sites?

    • Becker June 19, 2012 at 1:09 am #

      Scrapebox

  16. sean June 18, 2012 at 10:34 pm #

becker this is the first time I have come across you guys and nice work. This follows alot of my thinking and current testing.

    2 questions:

    - how many sites has this worked on?
    - with the 50 web 2.0′s are you using the same keyword mix for those links?

    cheers

    • Becker June 19, 2012 at 1:10 am #

This site so far (it was really the only one I was really pushing to re rank)

      Yep same keyword mix

Glad to see you hear for the first time Sean!

  17. Jerry June 18, 2012 at 10:59 pm #

So we create 50 Web 2.0 using UD and then hit those with Wiki links and then hit the Wiki links with comments and bookmarks.

Is 50 links to our money site (from the 2.0 sites we created) going to be enough links to get our site back? Or are you suggesting we keep repeating the process over and over again?

    Thanks for some clarification!

    • Becker June 19, 2012 at 1:11 am #

50 links back by 10k links are quite powerful =D

  18. Marc June 19, 2012 at 1:19 am #

looks great concept :) …. just pondering though the maths of keyword ratio (brainache) how many keywords did you start with ???
looking at 2nd and 3rd tier im taking it you mean for every 10 best anchor text keywords you need 50 related and 40 random or 1 main keyword, 5 related, 4 random

intrested to know how many keywords you used to recover your site :)

also when you say 20k comments is that blog comments ?

    cheers

  19. Jerry June 19, 2012 at 2:48 am #

Becker I believe 50 links backed by 10k links are quite powerful…however how does 50 links help me dilute the thousands of links I built when 80% of the anchor text I used was with the same keyword?

  20. Kristeena June 19, 2012 at 11:38 am #

    Hi Becker
I am glad that I hit up on this awesome content.
It will be great if you can offer a solid SEO Package for Penguin recovery.

  21. Carolyn June 25, 2012 at 1:13 am #

OK – within a week – I did the first part – de-optimizing the main page of the site – I did not start the 50 web 2.0 piece yet and all that backlink

and it took the site from where it had dropped to page 22 back up to page 8 for one of the main terms of my money site.

For the first time since the end of April I feel that I may not be an seo moron!!!

Can’t wait until you add this recovery link building service to your list!

One successful attempt – thank you

  22. Richard June 26, 2012 at 12:11 pm #

    Hi,

Great site, video and info. I have a question, are all these links and diversified anchors just pointing to your index page? This in itself looks un-natural. I have started working on building varied links to inner pages as well to try and help balance out the fact that all your links pointing to the index page is not natural.

Once you get a recovery, did you put your keywords pack into the title, description and increase again on page content or did you keep them as they are and leave the page at 1%?

    Cheers
    Rich

    • Becker June 26, 2012 at 1:50 pm #

      Hey Richard,

I think you may be thinking just a bit to much =D. If you want to split up where your links are going, by all means! This basic strategy without that was enough to get my site back though, so there was not any need to have to worry about that.

Once I recovered I kept it at 1%

      Hope that helps!

  23. Veronica Corningstone June 26, 2012 at 6:24 pm #

The I in site should not be capitalized.

    • Becker June 26, 2012 at 8:24 pm #

      Ima kill you

  24. Kristin June 26, 2012 at 8:18 pm #

Hi, I purchased the software and tried to add your csv files, but I keep getting this error: Invalid data. Check that they are in the correct format listed in the previous step. Am I the only one? How can I fix this?

    • Becker June 26, 2012 at 8:25 pm #

      Hey Kristin =D

What you need to do is remove all the ” ” in the text. Copy and paste it into a text doc and then find/replace all the ” with blank spaces

      Voila =D

Let me know if you need any more help

  25. Richard June 27, 2012 at 8:04 am #

    Hi Becker,

Thanks for your answer yesterday, funnily enough, I think I do think too much about these things…. lol

One more thing I have just thought of…..

I have about 1,000 links all pointing at my index page of my site that has been hit, they are all the same anchor (doh). If I add 50 Web 2.0′s, pointing to my home page with different anchors, it will only dilute me down by 5%.

With reference to adding 10k of wiki’s, they will be pointing to the web 2.0 pages so their anchor texts won’t have any bearing on my site as they are not pointing to it and the same with the 20k comments.

Am I missing something here as I cannot see how the tier 2 and 3 anchors can help with diluting my current 1,000 anchors as tier 2 and 3 don’t point to my site. I guess I need to increase the amount of web 2.0′s or maybe with the web 2.0′s add a few hundred articles into the tier 1 level?

    Cheers
    Rich

    • Becker June 27, 2012 at 2:16 pm #

      RICH! TOO MUCH THINKY

The reason I able to stumble upon this is because I simply started “doing”. This brought back a massive site, so stop doing math problems and try it out. The worst that can happen is you site that is not ranked, will continue to not rank =D

      Take action!

  26. Kristin June 27, 2012 at 8:58 am #

I don’t know why I can’t get the import function to work, I did as you said and at first I thouhgt yeah…but after a while I got a message that 0 of 0 entries was imported. But I found another way. I imported the csv into excel, then copied all the url’s and used the + sign to import, instead of right clicking and use the import csv function.

    • Becker June 27, 2012 at 2:17 pm #

      Coolio =D

  27. Casey June 27, 2012 at 9:38 pm #

Hey Becker the Ultimate Demon lists don’t work, the header info isn’t right, it this something that happened with a recent UD update or something?

  28. Casey June 27, 2012 at 9:41 pm #

Ah nvm just read the comment above mine lolz

    • Becker June 27, 2012 at 10:02 pm #

      Dumbass =P

  29. Jonica July 10, 2012 at 6:20 pm #

    Hey Becker,
    Great Presentation!
I am in the process of implementing everything you say step by step.
Does UD work on Macs? I just bought it and am trying to install but am having some trouble. Could it be because I am on a Mac?
    Thanks
    Jonica

    • Becker July 11, 2012 at 1:37 am #

Hey Jonica, I do not think it does =(

  30. L Niskasaari July 11, 2012 at 7:59 am #

    Hey Becker,

Do you still recommend building sites with “authority style” like you adviced in your video: http://source-wave.com/bullet-proof-fast-ranking-site-design/ ?

You know, I have over 40 sites and I was doing awesome before the penguin crashed most of my sites…(was making 200-300 € = over 240 dollars / day (I`m from europe so my figures are euros)

So, first came penguin…some of my sites still survived and I made about 50-70 € /day…
Then few weeks ago a new panda update (possibly) hammered the sites that still earned me money…(received quite a few google unnatural link love letters to my webmasters tools)

…and currently I`m doing 0-15€/day and this freaks me out!!!!!!! (thank god I still have a day job so I`m not bankrupt…yet…)

I recently bought your dream niches guide…and visited this website…and saw the video about bullet proof site design…

I`ve been buildin my sites based on blog post….(2-3 500-1000word posts on main site) and as I said it`s all gone now…wasted…not making the moolah anymore…So do you recommed to build sites with “page / authority” structure and add little content (under 500 words) to see if it ranks?

    All advice would be cool…

    Thanks,
    -Lauri Niskasaari

    • Becker July 11, 2012 at 6:45 pm #

      Hey Lauri,

Yes. My main strategy involves taking DN keywords and them ranking them all on one domain.

      Yep, I do suggest that!

Lemme know if you have anymore questions!

      • Lauri July 11, 2012 at 9:19 pm #

Okay…so you set up a main page as parent page and add subpages (related kw’s) under that..or do you make a separate page for each related kw? To ask this simpler, how are your sites structured?

        -Lauri-

        • Becker July 14, 2012 at 9:20 pm #

Hey Lauri, check out the bullet proof site design post! It has all the info you are looking for

    • Danman July 13, 2012 at 3:48 pm #

      Hi Lauri,

you might want to check out Becker’s post on Penguin recovery, it might be worth a shot trying out.

      Danny

    • Danman July 13, 2012 at 3:51 pm #

Sorry Lauri, this is the penguin recovery post I’m on…derrr, don’t I feel stupid!!!

      • Becker July 14, 2012 at 9:34 pm #

        Hahahaha derrrr!

  31. Danman July 12, 2012 at 9:31 pm #

I’m becoming a regular here now! I did have a couple of quick questions for you buddy…but I thought I’d give you a break and actually read the other replies first rather than flitting through them and I got both my answers!

Totally get the anchor text breakdown you give.

80% keyword anchor text is DEFINITELY what hammered my main two sites on Penguin the 24th and I’ve been looking for a fast linking strategy for recovery ever since. I would have experimented with linking strategies myself but I thought I might as well make and rank mirror sites whilst the dust settles and others did the research and then have two sites competing for the same keywords!

I know it’s lazy but hey!

Yours is a Great strategy it’s definitely the quickest to implement, certainly the most practical and by far the simplest I’ve seen, I’ll be going with it for sure and will come back with feedback for sure.

BTW..have you put together a link package for this yet?

    keep rocking
    Dan

    • Becker July 14, 2012 at 9:31 pm #

Ha we are actually including this in Source Auto pilot Danman. Keep on the lookout for it!

  32. Dave July 16, 2012 at 1:58 am #

    Useful info, thank you!

For the site you recovered, had it received an un-natural links warning in WMT?

    • Becker July 16, 2012 at 2:23 am #

      I did

      • Dave July 16, 2012 at 8:58 pm #

Nice. Thats what I’m facing right now with several sites. I submitted one for reinclusion after removing all the ‘bad’ or even ‘potentially bad’ links, and got denied.

I’ll try this before I throw in the towel and start over, however I may have shot myself in the foot already with he reinclusion request itself…any thoughts?

  33. Roman July 18, 2012 at 7:23 pm #

The quality of you content you are giving out for free here is simply astonishing.
i never saw someone who provides so much value as you do.
    Thanks for that.

    • Becker July 19, 2012 at 1:53 pm #

Thanks Roman I love you too!

  34. Pat July 22, 2012 at 3:14 pm #

    Hey Becker,

Are there any current source links packages you would recommend using to get a similar effect while we wait for the new package to come out? Thanks very much!

  35. james December 3, 2012 at 11:06 pm #

    Hey Becker,

I noticed with your older posts you say “ultimate demon” is the best software package, however in your later posts you say senuke. Which one is better and why?
