Hey guys Becker here…

So I noticed one thing you were REALLY interested in on the last episode of SourceTV

So I naturally assumed you might like a post on it. Without further adue

Beckers Ultimate Guide Of Biblical Monetization Methods

Monetization! Yeeeeehaawwww…Soooo exciting!

Look ….I realize monetizing your website is not the sexiest topic in internet marketing. Everyone wants to hear about some secret magic backlinks or a way to rank in 24 hours (which I have done here, here, and here if it interests you)

However I want you to focus EXTRA hard on this because monetization is THE most important skill a SEO marketer (or any kind of marketer) can have.

Wait what?

Yes you heard me right. If you master getting people to click, buy, or opt in to what you want online you can literally make gold out of toilet paper.

When you are a monetization wiz kid you can

  • Make 5x, 10x, or even 100x more money off of the same traffic you already have
  • Excel in virtually any niche
  • Turn toilet paper traffic into gold

I cannot stress this enough. When you master monetization the amount of traffic you have to generate to make a serious income plummets and the amount of money you make from that traffic sky rockets.

At the end of the day, you are also reading this blog for one and only one reason…Because you want more money (and you enjoy the immature use of cat pictures as marketing teaching tools)

So with that being said, the easiest way to make more money is to learn how to get people to bend to your will online.

Monetization Is Like Star Wars

Just like Jedis, monetization has many different skill levels. These can range from the smelly 12 year old Padwan (random adsense) to a lean mean Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi (funnels and product creation)

In this article I am going to show you a ton of ways to monetize your sites from simple to complicated. More importantly I am going to explain to you the marketing mindset that is going on behind these strategies so that you understand WHY you are doing it.

Before I get into it though, I want to stress one thing. Always, always, always be working on moving towards becoming a “total” marketer. By this I mean, not just settling for the simple crap.

Why? Because at the end of the day, the farther you get away from things like Adsense  or “stupid” monetization the more profit you will bring in and the more stable your income will become.

So, young padawan lets dive into this (I am also going to use a ton of Star Wars references to make this article more fun to write)

Method 1 : Adsense (Padawan)

Now look…I know I make fun of people that use Adsense and call it stupid a lot…and that is because is stupid.

But it has its place, especially if you are in a high traffic niche and are very inexperienced with monetizing. It also great for a super beginner marketer.

Why I Hate Adsense

I don’t hate Adsense as a monetization method. Its frankly not THAT bad.

What I hate is the stupidity it leads marketers too. I have seen dozens of marketers own sites that could make thousands every month if monetized right, but only make hundreds because the marketer has not surpassed the “copy and paste” training wheels of Adsense.

This leads marketers to create hundreds of sites that make $1-$5 a day because they never evolve from Adsense. This results in a business strategy that is based around making spammy crap low earning websites. The problem with this is that the sites almost ALWAYS get banned in the long run.

I have mutliple friends who got to $50-$100 a day doing this, and now make zero day because their sites were always garbage. The worst part though, is that they NEVER learned how to properly market since they never took of the training wheels, so they are all the way back at square one.

In short, trying to become a online tycoon with Adsense is like trying to win the tour le france with a tricycle. Its possible (if you peddle and work like hell) but its not optimal.

When To Use Adsense (Its not always a bad idea)

Adsense is best used when you have a large amount of un targeted traffic (which is not always easy to get with SEO). The reason for this is because you are not likely to get a ton of conversions off the traffic since it is not buyer oriented.

An example of this would be traffic from the keyword “big bang theory cast” (90k exact matches) that I covered in my last post. The traffic itself is not worth a ton, but if you can generate enough of it you can make pretty steady income.

For example, lets imagine we got about 30k people from that search.  At a 5% click through rate (which is decent if you set up your Adsense right) and a .25-.35  earnings per click you net about $450 a month passively. (This is all guestimated by the way. This can go up or down)

Not horrible..But not great either. I will explain how I would monetize this traffic a bit later

Adsense is not very effective unless you have a good amount of traffic.  Even then, you got to remember Google is going to take a most of the money earned by clicks. You are also at their ridiculous whims and they can ban you at any time.

I personally prefer to make more than $5 bucks a day from websites so I use other methods.

Method 2: Amazon (Jedi Apprentice)

Amazon is…okay. Its not great, but you can again use it to easily monetize your site. It is better than Adsense because you have a tad bit more control.

How It Works

Bascially, a person comes to your site and you link them to Amazon. You get 8% commission on everything they purchase (including stuff you did not even link them to)

So if you link someone to a toothbrush, and they then buy $300 deluxe Furby, you get credit for that too.

When To Use Amazon

At the most base level, you can use Amazon when people come to your site looking for a product. Lets imagine you are the 10,000th person to make site reviewing coffee makers or blenders. You can then easily link to these products at the end of a review.

This works REALLY well when you target “new niche keywords” which I explain in this episode of SourceTV. This is because you can hop to the top of Google whenever a new product comes out in your niche and monetize instantly.

On A Deeper Level

If your smart, you realize when you shoot someone to Amazon for a coffee maker you will make a whopping 3 bucks. However, if you shoot someone to amazon and they buy a hot tub you can earn hundreds from a single referral. So it pays to operate in high ticket niches.

If your even smarter you also know that if you target people in expensive hobby niche (guitars)  you can refer people for lower cost items in the niche (guitar picks). The benefit is you will also get credit if they buy the upper level items in the niche (a guitar). So it pays to refer people based not by the product, but the overall niche.

Finally, if your a freaking wiz kid you will realize that if you get a ton of people on a email list and CONSTANTLY send them to Amazon for stuff, you will get credit for many of their unrelated purchases people constantly make on Amazon. By simply getting your tracking cookie on as many people as possible you will make “random sales money”

If you are smart you can REALLY bank with Amazon. Many sites have similar affiliate programs, like By using the expensive hobby method I am easily able to monetize a guitar site I own (will be revealing soon).

However, if you are not smart Amazon will be virtually useless. Pay attention to the deeper levels I mentioned above and you can make a killing.

Method 3: CPA and Affiliate Marketing (Jedi)

CPA and Affiliate marketing can be EXTREMELY lucrative. Unfortunately, it is much much harder to pull off than Amazon or Adsense.

Why Most SEOs Fail At Affiliate Marketing

The reason why most SEO barely ever create sales is because they have no idea how to pre sell a product.

Seriously, go on 99% of SEOs websites and you will a bunch of random articles suggesting a product. Or better yet people will just spam banners all over their page.

The reason this does not work is because it is the equivalent to putting a picture of a product on your shirt, then running up and down a busy street  waiving your arms and yelling “OMG BUY THIS, ITS REALLY GOOD”

This type of marketing does not work because

1. People don’t know what the hell it is

2. They don’t know why they need it

3. They don’t trust you because you (and your site) look stupid

4. There is no buyer interest created.

Sure, some SEOs still make money despite of this because they rank for a super targeted keyword.

If you rank first for “cure acne book” and promote an acne book you will make sales regardless of how big of a idiot you are.

1) You will make 1/10th of the money you could with smart marketing

2) you cant always rely on getting that type of traffic.

How To Succeed With Affiliate Marketing

Good looking women…Err..I mean websites create interest/trust. Ulgy websites do not

You ever walk into a liquor store and see some pretty lady offering free sample shots?

Everything looks good and this creates interest. (Similar to a good looking website)

You then try out the free shot as the lady then tells you why it is so good, and why you should buy it now at the special price.

You now understand what it is your getting , have allowed yourself to be sold to by the lady (aka a good looking site) and now know you need to act now to get it.

Boom…You just bought some random bottle of liqour.

This is how an SEO marketer is suppost to sell an affiliate product. People will land on your site “generally” looking for something. You must then

  • Create interest and trust (having a site that looks like dog doo does not help this)
  • Make the person understand the product and why it will help them
  • Then encourage them to act after creating interest
Do these 3 things and you can create sales from even un targeted traffic.

When To Use Affiliate Marketing

It is best to use affiliate marketing when you are ranking  in a related niche. The more on par your product is with “intent” and “specificness” of the product the better.

For example if your keyword is “How to cure a black head on my nose over night” and your book is “5 Easy Ways To Cure Black Heads On Your Nose Over Night” your gonna make sales pretty easily.

However, if you keyword is “Black Heads On Face” (no intent and not to specific) your going to have to pitch your product more.

For CPA Offers

CPA offers range from email submits, to full form fill outs. The same process above applies to these.

Affiliate marketing is only as effective as the marketer using it. SEO is not just about getting traffic….Its about converting traffic (something too many marketers ignore)

I’ve seen good conversion marketers convert weight loss products on sites about celebrity gossip and other totally random traffic. If you can get good at selling to people online, you can just do disgusting things with affliate marketing.

However, if you want to be lazy this probably won’t be for you. This is because

A) The good high converting keywords will be taken by hard working SEOs

B) You will never convert traffic anyways

Keep that in mind. The more you evolve as a marketer the more you will be able to sell

Master Methods (Jedi Master Deluxe)

Below are a list of methods that I consider the pinnacles of moentization. These are by far the most effective, profitable, and creative ways to get your traffic to pay your rent.

Email List Building

A stupid person finds a goose and kills it for food. A smart person finds a goose, raises it with care and eats the eggs for life.

Stupid metaphor aside, if you are not building email list you are living on a very short term, static income.

Why short term?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but just because you have traffic now, does not mean you will have traffic a month from now.

Why Static?

Lets say you capture 200 emails and those earn you about $200 a month in income from them.

What if next month you capture 200 more emails (400 in total)?

You will now make about $400 a month from the same amount of traffic. By the end of the year you will have 2400 emails ($2400 a month..without ever growing your site)

How Email Marketing Works

Basically, you collect a ton of emails in a niche (lets imagine this niche is goat racing). You then mail these avid goat racers promotions for new goat helmets and goat running shoes. Since these people are interested in goat racing they will then buy what your promoting.

Cha ching, your making money by consistently promoting what they are interested in buying.

The Golden Rule Of Email Marketing

The reason why email marketing does not work for most marketers is because they never develop trust…Or even genuine interest. This is because they break the golden rule of permission marketing (great book)…Don’t treat those who let you market to them like shit!

You need to balance promotion with value or you will never have a long term list. I like to explain this with a metaphor.

The Smelly Mailbox Metaphor

Lets imagine one day you go to your mail box and there is a golden letter.  You open the letter and there is $5 inside.

The next day you open your mail…There is another golden letter. You open it and there is $10 inside.

The next day you again open your mail box. There is another golden letter. You open it and this time it is filled with dog doo. You throw it away.

The very next day you receive another golden letter. You know it might be filled with dog doo…but it also might be filled with money. You take the risk and open it. There is another $10

For the rest of time this cycle repeats over and over. You accept that some letters will be full of crap, because most of the letters are full of value. The value outweighs the crap

In short…If you want to mail people crap (affiliate products or your own), make sure you also mail enough value to keep people interested. With that being said. The best selling mechanism in the ENTIRE world is trust and friendship. Earn that and you won’t even HAVE to market to people on your list to make money

Email marketing is something you NEED to be doing now.

Mimicking PPC Marketers

When you are monetizing a SEO site the BEST people to watch like hawks are paid traffic marketers. Why? Because they pay for traffic for one and only on reason. Because it converts!

Whenever I make a site with mass general traffic (aka the big bang theory cast niche) I don’t slap adsense on my site. Instead I keep a eye out for ads for affiliate products that I see on similar sites.

Because if you see a ad running a lot, it MUST be profitable and it MUST be converting.

Paid traffic affiliate marketers do not run unprofitable campaigns for long. They have to pay for their visitors (unlike you).

How To Take Whats Working And Copy It

I literally see this ad EVERYWHERE…So I know it must be converting

Very simply..Instead of putting adsense on my sites I will visits sites in a niche similar to mine. If you want to get really down and dirty you can compare the demographics of top sites for your search in Quantcast.

Then look for ads for affiliate products. You will probably recognize a few that keep showing up everywhere. This is because they convert! (They would not be there if they didn’t).

Then simply copy and paste the banner to your site with your own affiliate link.

Congrats you now have a well crafted, traffic optimized ad on your site that will convert. (PPC marketers steal eachothers ads ALL the time…Don’t feel bad)

Taking It One Step Further

One thing you should also pay attention to is the funnels paid traffic marketers create. Actually, you should pay attention to and copy EVERYTHING paid traffic marketers do.

One of the most helpful things you can do to improve your monetization is pick up  paid traffic courses. When people put their money on the line for traffic (something most SEOs avoid at all costs), they will develope some very creative ways to convert it.

In fact if you want to REALLY make truck loads of  cash you should pay attention to sales page writers, conversion based website designers, and ads you see online. These are all made by every experienced marketers who are VERY good at making people take out their debit cards. Learn from them!

 Product Creation

Product creation is a whole other beast in internet marketing and is pretty much a whole other genre of “make money online” than SEO.

However, when you combine product creation with SEO in a certain way it can be the results can be insane. I know a marketer who ranked for a few gold keywords, started building a list and now makes a solid 10k a month from a SINGLE website.

I repeat…SINGLE website. This is why smart product creation and awesome monetization is so FREAKING important. If you master them, the amount you can make from websites just sky rockets.

When To Use Product Creation

My 2 cents : As soon as possible. If you want to make a career out of internet marketing, one of the best ways to get yourself moving forward is product creation. Period

However, in terms of SEO there are times to use it and there are times to not.

The best times to create your own product in the SEO world are

  • When there are zero good products to promote in your niche or they are to expensive to convert
  • When you have built a big list from SEO and they are hungry for a product (launch time)
  • When you have a niche people buy products in

This is also heavily dependent on the niche. For example if you keyword is “Big Bang Theory Cast”, then it is going to be hard to make a product. However if your keyword is “how to train my dog” then you could easily create something to sell to people.

Also you don’t have to be a marketing champion to make money from products online. I cannot tell you how many Clickbank products make millions, yet look like a small illiterate baboon created them. If they can do it so can you.

How To REALLY Bank From Product Creation

One of the most important lessons I could ever teach anyone about selling a product is it is ALL about reoccurring income. Instead of making a $40 book on teaching your dog not to make doo on the carpet, make a $10 a month video course program that is constantly added to.

The same reason as email marketing! Your income constantly stacks on itself due to the SEO traffic. If you get 10 subscription every month at $10, by the end of the year you will have 120 subscriptions that will earn you $1200 a month…almost passively…and all from a single site.

Making reocurring subscriptions is the easiest way to turn a small SEO site into a solid earner because of the income stacking going on.

Selling Leads

Finally, one of the last, best and most rarely used methods to monetize a site is to sell leads. This is basically where you rank for something in relation to a business, and then you sell the business your traffic.

How It Works

Lets imagine you rank a site for the term “Dallas Chiropractor”. You then start receiving a lot of traffic that is looking for a chiropractor. You then call local chiropractors and offer to sell them traffic at 70% of what it costs per click on adwords.

Boom easy passive income. This is a fairly easy way to make money from real businesses. Don’t just focus on local searches though, you can easily rank for all sorts of business related terms and then directly sell the traffic to the businesses

Cha Ching

So….in short, this is every way off the top of my head to monetize your website (explained in 3,400 words)

You don’t have to restrict yourself to adsense. Hopefully by now you have realized that their are MUCH more lucrative ways to make money (that also don’t require you to constantly get abused by Google)

Its An Art Form

With that being said, monetization is just as much of an art form as SEO. In fact, if you can craft websites and business plans that convert/sell products you probably will not even need SEO to make money. There are countless businesses who pay top dollar for people that can make websites sell and if you have this skill you can make money in ANY industry.

So…Like I always say…Stop being the brain dead SEO marketer, and start being the “total” marketer that uses SEO as one of many tools in your arsenal!

Mucho Love,

Great post!!! I really think I am feeling something…
(as I raise the blast shield on my helmet – thank you, Master Jedi Becker)

The Star Wars Kid video is priceless! Hilarious!! LMAO!!! I even watched it twice for a second laugh, almost in disbelief!

Seriously, even a dumb ‘ol fart like me is starting to see the light on the correct path… thanks SO much for what you share. And how you share it! Ha! LMAO!

Dang dude, thanks man. I bought your Niche eBook and ever since I have been coming to your site for more. I have always wonder how to do affiliate programs but for some reason never really understood it. Thank you again for this extensive self-help document..

  3. November 13, 2012

Good stuff Becker and the focus on conversions is a ‘must-have but don’t do’ for too many Internet Marketers.

Hey Becker, great post as usual. I’ve applied your ‘blood in the water’ technique and I now have a list of exactly 100 keywords that are extremely untapped, and all in a single niche :) I’m stoked. I’m well on my way with creating the site & putting great content on it. This post was very timely for me, thanks.

I was reading for fun, then starwars kid strikes…

2 hours later im back to the article –

    damn you ;)

  6. November 13, 2012

Very good info. Actually I expected to see almost all methods you mentioned here except Selling leads to businesses, which is very interesting stuff to know. The main issue with advanced and more lucrative methods is – they are not as PASSIVE as AdSense or Amazon are. But this is the “price” for more profits from the same “sq ft” of virtual real estate, pretty much as in offline world, nothing new is here.

  7. November 13, 2012

Thanks Becker, this is exactly what I needed. I’m starting out my Swedish IM career thanks to you.

    Yo Becker,

I love watching your videos. You’ve got some cool information and though I’ve still yet to test it, these are all ideas I’ve had all along but had never tested. It’s great to see you put out this kind of info.

    Two things:
    1. “Don’t treat those who let you market to them like shit!” <– With that said… I hope you don't take offense to this but I'm subscribed to either yours or Cass' email list (or both?) and I get way too many WSO offers (Or is that because I bought your recent WSO??). I get that you guys do IM and that in itself is business but I'd like to stay subscribed for the great info. Now I gotta figure out which list(s) I'm subscribed too :/

    2. Oh! The video for finding 90k searches–very cool stuff! Now, I know someone said 'rank it, show us you're the real deal'. I'd suggest you doing that, only for the fun of it and showing the rest of us how it's done (esp on a tight budget or for those who can't use private networks?) I mean, pretend you are starting from scratch and only have a $100 to go on? (yes a part time job would be necessary at that point, haha) What would you do with the 100? How would you turn that $100 into even $200/month? I love watching these. TO be honest, people would pay for live case studies. (I'll have to check out dream niches if you've done this already?)

I don't know, just some thoughts. I may be emailing you for an idea I have for a niche site. Hopefully you are good with emailing back ;) Keep on rockin'!

P.S. Did you pick up the guitar yourself or take lessons? Will you take requests? hahaha.

No problem! Glad your enjoying Source Wave

  13. Becker
    November 13, 2012

Yep, I think people should actually start at conversion first THEN traffic generation…But conversions arnt sexy or fun to learn about!

    Haha totally intentional!

  15. Becker
    November 13, 2012

Yeah I recently picked up on the selling lead. Extremely lucrative and passive.

Yes that is true about not being as passive, but really there is no such thing as a 3-10k passive income for SEO. In reality its a ticking time bomb income, because your sites will tank a year or two from now if you leave them to rot.

The one true passive income is to get FILTHY rich, and then collect interest off =). Other then that your just living on borrowed time

  16. Becker
    November 13, 2012

    No problem!

  17. Becker
    November 13, 2012

Ha if your on the “Source Wave” list, you might notice there are max 2 promotion a month and they are only for Source Wave stuff.

    1. I don’t promote WSOs or IM products unless they are just mind blowing “need to read this” now kind of material….I do make them though because they generate a TON of traffic for Source Wave.

    2. I might be doing this in future. And since you asked nicely instead of being a arrogant dick about it like the last guy, let me explain why I am holding off.

Right now I am currently working on and building a brand new Guitar authority site from the ground up that I will be revealing soon. I also have my hand in so many different projects that going off on a “just for fun” project would be a huge distraction.

With that being said, check out dream niches. Its free lol. I rank 5 sites in 24 hours just to show I can =P. You might enjoy that.

Totally self taught (for better or for worse). I can but, but I rarely take time to learn other music since I am extremely impatient. 95% of what I play is stuff I make up =)

I know you say stay away from business niches like security but I’ve been selling these products in the real world for a long time and thought I would have an advantage over someone who is just a affiliate marketer. I know these programs are allowing a ridiculous affiliates to compete with each other. I’m able to rank #1 for a local blog in that niche for some keywords. Do you think the work will pay off in a year 6 months never? I blog often to built quality content. Whats the budget for a product creation on clickbank? 1k to 10k

Your e-mails are the only value emails I receive. Thanks

  26. Becker
    November 14, 2012

Hey Jack it isnt so much about your content as it is the rankings.

I have personally been on a team that handled the SEO for multi million $ security company and all I have to say is you have to have some serious dough to compete in the most profitable searches (they easily were spending HIGH 5 figure amounts to get rankings)

I would stick to local areas, because most agencies that do security companies SEO dont have time to real cement in them. If you go local it can totally work.

Thanks for opening them, means a lot Jack!

  27. November 14, 2012

Thanks Becker. Your post always is a surprise. Value enough!

  28. Andrew
    November 14, 2012

    Great value, Becker!

You’ve gotta be so proud of what you’re doing here on source wave. You’ve been making pure quality content for some time, I can see! And you really care about how other people are able to use it! That blows me away. Its easy to tell that so many others just make a product and aren’t interested in their customer after they’ve gotten their money. But you aren’t one of those people!!

The fact that you actually interact with the people that comment on your blog is extremely impressive! And you even lots of your blog posts about topics that people begged for! Continuing your analogy with the geese, it looks like you’re building an empire of geese laying golden eggs!

Becker, if you’ve 3 minutes to answer a quick niche specific question, I would be really grateful. I’m working on a site in the niche of a major, extremely common illness. I have purchased an EMD for a type of medication that is used to treat this illness that gets 18,000 exacts per month, a one word keyword (I see another one also that has not yet been used, but I didn’t buy it). However, whenever I google the big medications, it returns pages with either PR of N/A or higher than 4 (example:,, wikipedia,

It seems to me like these pages might be pretty tough to beat — but I am not really sure to be honest with you. Here is my question: Should I bother trying to rank for these keywords that are already ranked in these pages? Or should I shoot for different keywords related in the niche that I can find with the blood in the water technique? How much is having an EMD in the niche going to help with my rankings?

If I’m being to vague and you need some more information, please email me and I would be happy to give it to you.

    Keep on making source-wave AWESOME!!

  29. Becker
    November 14, 2012

Hey andrew. I have gone up against a bunch of times with a few sites. They can for sure 100% be beaten, even with low quality SEO. (I currently have a EMD that still ranks over them with nothing but comment and wiki links)

Same story with nim and As long as your site is more relevant you will win!

Glad you enjoye Source Wave as much as I do =)

    November 14, 2012

    I’m confused.

Isn’t Amazon also affiliate marketing? If not, then why do you treat/take them as seperate monetizing methods?

Other than that, good stuff man. Believe it or not, ever since I found source-wave, I delete/ignore all other IMers or ‘Gurus’.90% dont give a sh** about noobs out there..load of horse ****.:P

Keep up the awesome work man!

It “technically” is affiliate marketing, but its so different than CB and other offers that its needs its own category!

Glad you like it here Fahad =)

    Hey Becker –

Stumbled across your site by accident and became an immediate convert. Been following some big name affiliate authorities for a couple of years but will chuck them for your refreshing no BS approach to SEO and affiliate marketing. I’ve picked up more from your free info than I’ve gotten from some of those long, windy paid courses that bury a few relevant kernels in literally hours of video training fluff.

You’re a breath of fresh air with some furious fingers on your guitars!

Looking forward to your future posts, that new guitar site and harnessing some passive income.

Becker, I’ve read a bunch of articles on your site already, but I’m still absorbing a lot of information. I have a question that I would probably try to search for the answer for, but I can’t find any kind of a search box (hint hint :).

When buying a domain for a site, do you prefer to get a keyword with a high search term (e.g. or something a little more general (such as

Hi Becker, I have been reading your blog, I took notice how well you adapt to the evolving internet.

I believe that is what separates the successful marketers from the bogged down marketers.

It almost seems like surfing, you keep waiting for that good wave, meanwhile, you practice on the small waves till the big one comes along. Once you get the hang of it, you”ll often find yourself on top of the wave hanging 10 rather than coughing up seawater.

    Good Stuff,

    Hi Alex
I’ve read many replies and comments to many your posts and now I am a little (if not to say completely) confused.

I have purchased your WSO “SEO Underdog – Outranking Authority Sites” and OTO “SEO Infinitum”.
I just finished going through several of yours training videos and posts and were really excited about finding the REAL KEYWORDS and setting up REAL PROFITABLE (and QUCKLY) SITES.
I am not very newbie wanting to obviously make some money online. I understood the majority of your proposals and I felt really great about all this.

But I have read your post concerning the Google update for EMDs and that has all changed now!

In this post and comments you almost negated many pitfalls and loopholes, which were the MAIN GOALS of interest in your methods of quick ranking (including Dream Niche Blueprint).

I feel like I was thrown up again against a brick wall…

You were explaining how quickly to be ranked with small “laser oriented” sites in any small niche, you were speaking about short term and long term keywords…and what are the goals for SEO for them…

But now I do not understand:
    - is it sense to apply all your techniques if Google will ban these sites
    - could these sites really be fast ranked good for keywords which are possible to find with your methods
    - will Google permit this ranking
    - or now all strength must be applied to construct High Authority Sites – but they never could be quickly ranked: it will be necessary to work HARDLY (especially with content) for months…

And what then exactly are authority sites then in your understanding?

    Thanks for GREAT WORK.
    Best regards and wishes.

    Hey Valeri,

The underdog method actually works amazing with authority types sites (which is what underdog shows you how to start)

Please read this post, it explains EVERYTHING I know about long term SEO

Good post Becker…..Monetization is so important…….so much is written about SEO, back-linking, ninja tactics, Google dances etc… becomes all-consuming at times ….I think people (including myself) get so causght up in the process that we forget that ranking is only part of the equation……the whole ‘get your site to #1 mantra’ is all well and good…..assuming your site can actually deliver the goods (i.e. money) when it gets there….;)

I guess we all need to take a step back and ask ourselves the question, ‘what is our actual business model?’ SEO is just one means of getting ‘eyeballs’ to what we have to offer… it a product (physical or digital……either as a product owner, drop-shipper/ distributor or an affiliate) or a service……

You are truly a breath of fresh air in a lot of baloney world. I am certainly glad I got on the ground floor of this investment opportunity. Investment you say? Please explain..

I am old and you are young and if i had bought microsoft in 1970 i would be a billionaire, or apple, you get the point…you are a mere 24, and this is great stuff, but it is nothing compared to what’s coming up next. You are already showing the emperor is got no clothes. I am sticking with you…friend!!.

True fact i am a 1/2 noob. i have 100 plus sites. and i have learned more from you in one night, for free, than all the wso and 1 year on the grindstone. Thank you from the heart your guitar solos touched me.

So glad to have helped as much as you say. It is great see comments like this.

Yep exactly neil. I think this is why PPC marketers usually hit success A LOT faster than SEOs. They learn the real trick to marketing online…Getting people to do what you want =)

  45. November 20, 2012

OOps did I say guitar? i meant to say your videos…LOL. No really I tell you why I said all that. You pick us up and tell us: Guys it is simple., You can Do-it. This is the way. You frame it as a giver, (give first-receive later).

I know what I am talking about. That attitude is what we should all aim for and produces the very greatest of successes and lasting results.

But than again you knew this already.

    hi alex

First off thanks for all the great info you are providing us with, now i have a better idea on what to do with a few of my sites. the question i have is about email marketing, what type of opt in form to you find converts better on these sites, side bar forms or slide forms etc

I will be getting into email marketing soon =)

  49. November 21, 2012

Again, the information you provide is awesome. I have to say it, though. After reading several of your posts, Suppost is spelled supposed. :) I couldn’t resist. I had kind of half thought of the “selling the traffic to local businesses”, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. How do you build a site about “Dallas Chiropractors” without having any Dallas Chiropractors on the site? And once they are on the site, what motivates them to pay. Bigger banners? More content relating to them? I actually have a domain for Gainesville home builders I was going to build for a friend, but he got out of the business. Anyways, i am new to your stuff and I am loving it. Keep up the good work and the guitar solos!

Ps – I have unsubscribed to more marketers because all they do is send more offers. Good point.

Hi Becker… ever since I’ve bought your underdog course and got to know your blog I’ve been going ape-monkey over it… really great stuff. But what I really want to talk about is selling leads…. I own a small 1 person web design business in the UK and about 90% of my paying clients are lawyers (they call them solicitors here…) so as an example I built a site about a year ago using keyword+city ( I used a software that allows me to build as many (human readable) pages as I want with backlinks in them. So I took a few client/friends hosting accounts and I backlinked the heck out of that site and in a few short months I was ranking for every single area of law in my City. (Croydon)

I was getting leads like crazy… So I went on to brag to those lawyers about how good I was and offered these leads to those same solicitors whose place I’d taken on the front page of Google and the ba***ds reported me to Google and I had to ditch the site. Since then I’ve never trusted selling leads anymore. At least NOT to “solicitors” and not in Croydon.. just my 2 cents. My site was still indexed, but it was relegated to the lower pages never reaching page 10 again.

    Haha ape monkey

Thanks for the insightful comment, ive never had a problem with getting reported though (you could virtually do this to every local business that does SEO with a quick backlink check)

    hi becker,

you got the friendship and trust thing down bro. . . . i feel like you’re a brother from another mother.
    Quick question if i may. . . . . . . . . (hope thats alright)
Opt=in pages, is there a right way and a wrong way?! as in having it be the first thing people must do to enter your site, be it optional or not, or do you now have to just plant it on your homepage due to penalties and hope people chose some of your free value crap.

I have been a little deflated the last few months thinking id missed my opportunity but you have given me a lot of confidence, thank you.

im following everything you do as i have done many others, it was your guest appearance on smartpassiveincome that allowed me to know you existed. just to let you know. very impressed with what you’re doing right now. ps im not gay pps not that there’s anything wrong with being gay. . . . .

Re: sending people to Amazon – If I sell a product at my site and Amazon also, I’m suddenly wondering if it might be worth it to send them to buy at Amazon always, and not even sell at my site.

    1) they might buy something else &
    2) they might buy something besides, later.

Am I thinking about this correctly?

Pop up, side bar, above the fold, after post opt in?

    Thanks :)
